We intend to deprecate and remove client hint User-Agent full version: Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version Deprecation: M113 Removal: M117
The Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version client hint only gives a server information about the user agent’s full version. To address User-Agent client hint Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version bounds too tightly to primary brand issue, we introduced another user-agent client hint Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version-List which gives a server information about the full version for each brand in its brands list. The usage of Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version and Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version-List currently are both around 18%, fluctuating up and down quite a bit. Also, other client hints have a similar usage percentage. This indicates sites usually request all available hints together. To avoid duplicate information, it would be better to deprecate support for the client hint Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version and suggest developers to use the new client hint Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version-List. We hope to entirely remove Sec-CH-UA-Full-Version at some future point when usage is low enough.
